ADVOCACY

USING YOUR VOICE

Cannabis Advocacy is at the heart of what we do. We believe in not settling with the cards you’re dealt and the answers you don’t want to hear. Do your own research. Advocate for change. Fight for the very best because you and yours deserve it. That is how we got involved with CBD advocacy.

We wouldn’t be where we are today if we had not stood up for our son’s right to a natural remedy, for our right to cultivate a harmless but largely therapeutic plant for him and others like him. Everyone has a right to cannabis advocacy.

And while what has occurred within the industry thus far has been good, more is needed. CBD advocacy is needed for the protection of the hard work and investment of farmers with an increase in allowable THC limits in hemp. Protection for consumers from being deceived and potentially harmed by mislabeled, low-quality CBD products. They need faith in the products they’re consuming.

We’ll persist in our Kentucky hemp advocacy. We’ll continue advocating for hemp farmers for the purpose of growing a stable, prospering and reliable industry. As well as, for you, our consumers, so you can have transparency and confidence in your purchases.

But honestly, we’d love your help – there is power in numbers.

WHAT WE’VE DONE THUS FAR. THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

HEMP AND FARMING LEGISLATION

SB113 to increase THC in hemp

This bill proposes an increase in the allowable amount of THC in hemp – a move from .3% to 1%. Kentucky Cannabis Company has been fighting for this increase since its inception in 2014, and this move will go a long way in protecting Kentucky farmers from having their crops destroyed over trace amounts of THC that naturally occur in hemp varieties today.
