Join us for our most popular tour that will teach you about our history and how we make our CBD products. This tour will take you through all 3 floors of our facility – allowing you to experience it all. Of course, you’ll finish off in our gift shop with a free sample of CBD. This tour will last approximately 1 hour.
What can I expect on the tour?
Educational fun! We’ll cover the history of hemp before diving into its legalization and the creation of our business. As one of the very few vertically-integrated hemp companies, you will see everything it takes to produce high CBD hemp products – everything from the plants, to extraction and product development, all the way to the lab and retail. Plus, you’ll hear about our struggles and advocacy efforts that still continue today.
Will I be able to try/ taste any of your products during the tour?
We wish we could, but unfortunately, no. In order to remain operational in this industry, we jump through a bunch of hoops as we navigate the laws, regulations and overall “shyness” when it comes to hemp. BUT don’t worry! We won’t let you leave emptyhanded! In the gift shop, we will give you free samples of our extracts to take home with you.
How much does a tour cost?
The standard tour is $25 for visitors 18 and over and $5 for those under 18.
Veterans and active military will enjoy $5 off their tour visit!
Do I need to pay for my tour in advance?
Yes. Visitors are strongly encouraged to make a reservation before arriving to ensure you have a spot for your desired date/time.
Can I cancel the tour and get a refund?
Tickets are refundable as long as the cancellation is made 72 hours prior to the purchased tour date.
Are there any specialty tours?
Yes, these require booking ahead of time, so if you’re looking for more than our standard tour or a private group tour, please email us at info@kentuckycannabiscompany.com. We’ll get you scheduled!
Do you have to be over a certain age take a tour?
Everyone is welcome at the Kentucky Cannabis Company, and general tours are open to any age.
Are there any restrictions?
Our facility is 3 stories so you’ll be doing a good bit of walking and climbing some stairs. Wear comfortable shoes, and if you have special circumstances, please let us know upon arrival. We do not have an elevator so those who prefer not to walk or climb are welcome to relax on our front porch!
Is the facility closed for the holidays?
Yes, the facility is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Is there a gift shop?
Yes, you’ll end your tour at our gift shop where you can grab a sample of our extracts and explore our selection of merchandise.
Can I buy hemp flower in the gift shop?
No. Hemp flower is not legal in the state of Kentucky. (We know… you see it everywhere.) BUT the Kentucky State Police does not differentiate between hemp flower and high THC flower. What does this mean for you if you are in possession of hemp flower in Kentucky, you ask? It means you get hit with a “marijuana” possession charge and we lose our licenses to do business. It’s bad for both of us!
Do you sell high THC products in the gift shop?
No. High THC cannabis, unlovingly coined as “marijuana”, is not legal in the state of Kentucky.
Is there food at the facility?
No. However, Midway is home to some of the best restaurants in Central Kentucky. A quick walk up the street will lead you to many local restaurant options in the heart of downtown Midway.- you won’t be disappointed!
Can Kentucky Cannabis Company ship my purchases home for me?
Absolutely. We ship across the United States regularly. We do not currently offer international shipping.
